Trees.

The trees persist.
The trees stand tall or short,
skinny or wide,
covered or uncovered,
light or heavy.
They stand rooted and connected to a place.
With not too much space but safe. 
That’s how it grew.
Persistence and resistance, 
over time, and space. 
Living and breathing,
In cool and warm breezes. 
If we can remember,
we are trees. 
Connected and rooted to this space.
Persisting and resisting.
Living and breathing.
Alive.
Could we rise,
together with other trees of life.
Connected and respected.
Related and at ease.
